DIG Karlsruhe

The German-Indian Association (Deutsch Indische Gesellschaft - DIG) is an organisation established in 1953 for the cultural exchange between Germans and Indians. It has branches in 35 cities of Germany. Altogether it has more than 4000 members. Its aim is to promote the understanding between Indians and Germans and to facilitate contacts among the people of Indian origin living in Germany.

The Karlsruhe branch has 90 members. It organises different functions to further the understanding of Indian Culture in Germany and to allow its members and friends to meet regularly to exchange ideas and experiences. It also supports a school in a village near Dehra Dun.
