Study of Puranas

Course Introduction:

The Puranas are the Atman of India. There is no Mythology in the Puranas but there is Sattyalogy. Till date the Puranic texts have been ridiculed. But in reality, if we study the Puranic texts without prejudice, we will find that we can get the reference of most of the history more than 31000 years BC. We get evidence of the glorious heritage of ancient Indian rich knowledge, tradition, philosophy, science and technology, culture, literature, art etc. from the Puranas. In each of the Puranas, there has been a detailed discussion about the creation of the universe, the various dynasties, the time count and the end (destruction) of the universe. The main function of the Puranas is that the flow of very deep Vedic knowledge through the Puranas should reach every person of the whole society. This unprecedented work has been done by the Puranas. The Puranas have done the work of increasing the comprehension, understanding and pleasure capacity of the entire society. That's why listening to Puranas for two to four months in a year was a unique tradition in India. Every Indian has to know, understand and get knowledge of Puranas.
