Course Introduction:
It is a very unfortunate thing that even after independence, the education system in India did not teach about the Vijigishu, the mighty, the great emperors and kings of ancient India. In our education system it was told that the invaders have always conquered us, we are weak, we are not brave, we are always unsuccessful and we are losers. Our education system told and taught us only about the Mugals. But the reality is very different. India has witnessed the heritage of a great and glorious dynasties and kings. In the Ikshvaku dynasty of Lord Shri Ramchandra, there were great kings like King Dileep, Raghu Raja, Dasharatha. In the Yadu dynasty of Lord Krishna, in the Kaurava dynasty of Hastinapur, in the dynasty of Magadha, stories of thousands of such emperors and kings are available. Along with being a limitless warrior, they were also a great human. The king is a incarnation of Lord Vishnu and all the subjects are his sons; this is the basic concept of Indian kingship. From Maurya dynasty, Shrunga dynasty, Gupta dynasty, Gurjara dynasty, Mewar dynasty, Chalukya, Chola, Pallavas, Pandya, Chera, Magadha, Kosala, Vanga, Ahom, Gondwana, Vakataka, Satavahana, Vijayanagara, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Maharana Pratap; tradition of so many mighty kings is available to us. Considering the Dharma, keeping the goal of four purusharthas in front, these kings set ideal examples from their lives for the happiness of all the subjects. Every Indian youth should remember the great valor of Indian kings and emperors and should try for unprecedented work in his life.
